Interested in becoming a Certified Judge? Take a judging class!
The Norwalk Exchange Club held our third annual KCBS Judging Class in Norwalk, CT on May 14, 2011. If you missed the class, check back next year and sign up early.
Class description: Kansas City Barbeque Society representatives take you through the steps needed to become a certified judge. Not only is it a great learning experience, but you get to eat some great barbeque! The class runs about four to five hours. We serve the four KCBS competition meats - Chicken, Pork Ribs, Pork Butt or Shoulder, and Beef Brisket for mock judging. There is always plenty of BBQ discussion. The class takes place 10am - 3pm at the Norwalk Inn and Conference Center.
Once certified, you are qualified to judge any KCBS contest around the country, including our Bar•B•Q Pit Competition.
